East Bengal Club was founded in the year 1920 at Kolkata, West Bengal. Now this is called Kingfisher East Bengal Club as per the main sponsor name.

This club is the symbol of fighting spirit and one of the most successful football clubs in India.

East Bengal – Mohun Bagan on field arch rivalry is very famous in India and the match between these two clubs in Kolkata is called the famous Kolkata Derby.
